Mark A. Doré is founder and Managing Partner of The Doré Law Firm, LLC, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mark’s experience in the energy industry has spanned the past 25 years and included both boutique and large firm experience. This has allowed him to build a solid foundation in the energy sector, with a focus on transactions across the Oil & Gas, Energy & Infrastructure, Governmental Relations, and Economic Development sectors.
From his time as roustabout to landman to a practicing transactional and regulatory attorney, Mark’s background cuts across multiple disciplines in the energy industry and it is this experience that affords him unique insights and solutions to industry members. For the last 15 years, Mark has focused on a transactional and regulatory energy practice for industry members, both large and small.
Mark is originally from Delcambre, Louisiana but has made the Lafayette area his home for past 14 years.

Before joining Dupuis & Polozola, L.L.C., he worked as an Independent Landman from 2004 through early 2010 gaining hands on working knowledge of Louisiana mineral law. He received a B.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2004, and a J.D. in 2009 from Southern University Law Center. In March 2008 while attending law school, he began operating his own oil and gas/real estate title company based in Lafayette; in doing so, he continued to work full time as an Independent Landman. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar on October 22, 2009.
Mark is originally from Delcambre, Louisiana but has made the Lafayette area his home for past 14 years. He is a member various professions organizations, including the Lafayette Association of Professional Landmen, the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mark has been a key member in industrial project development, from land acquisition, due diligence, mineral clearance, and regulatory advice and planning. These projects span the State of Louisiana, and include areas, such as LNG, solar, CCUS, alternative fuels, and more recently Data Centers and Power Generation Facilities.

Mark also has industry-leading experience in the Carbon Capture, Usage, and Storage (CCUS) arena across multiple jurisdictions. He regularly counsels startups, industry members, and emitters to help facilitate their entry into markets across the country. This experience includes industrial project development, advocacy and guidance on various State and Federal statutory and regulatory matters, and the creation of forms utilized in acquisition of pore space, along with midstream and emitter agreements.

In addition to his corporate and industrial work, Mark has worked closely with both the Executive and Legislative branches of the State of Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Conservation & Energy (formerly the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources), numerous local and parish governments, large private landowners, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the University of Tulsa. All these experiences have led him to work with not just numerous governmental officials, but also numerous corporate stakeholders, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

Lastly, for the past 8 years, Mark has been involved with both regional and Statewide economic development in Louisiana, serving on numerous committees, including the Executive Committee and Board for the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA), the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA) Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration Committee, and the Louisiana Senate Task Force of Local Impacts of Carbon Capture and Sequestration.
